Previous roles were: Project Manager, Systems Analyst, and Programmer.

I have been on several Board of Trustees, including St. Augustine College in Chicago where I served 2 terms and member of the Finance Committee. We overcame a financial predicament and obtained a bank letter of credit, reviewed and assessed IT functionality and strategic direction of the college ERP product Jenzabar EX.
The Board of Trustees hired a new President, which stabilized and grew the College (2007-2011).

1995-1996 - Elected Treasurer of new regional AHAP organization. AHAP replaced the individual state run HBMA’s in the Ameritech region (IL, IN, WI, MI, OH).
1994 - Teamed with the Hispanic Organizations at Motorola and Kraft Foods, Hispanic Business Members of Ameritech (HBMA) donated over 360+ mittens, caps and gloves to students of Ruben Salazar bilingual school for Christmas.
1994 - Ameritech Hispanic Advisory Panel donated Christmas gifts for the elderly to several suburban organizations. Obtained over 60+ donators who participated.
1993 - Joined the founding of Loyola University of Chicago Hispanic Alumni Association (LUCHAA).
1993 - Hispanic Business Members of Ameritech awarded $3,750 in 4 scholarships to students, 3 at University of Illinois-Chicago and one at Purdue University.
1993 - Joined Chicago Area Latino Mentors Association (CALMA) which was formed to channel mentor volunteers to programs like "Bridges to the Future" and community organizations like Casa Aztlan.
1993 - Elected Treasurer of Hispanic Business Members of Ameritech (HBMA), subsequently re-named Ameritech Hispanic Advisory Panel (AHAP).
Sept 1992 - Nominated to the board of directors of Computer Association for the Contribution of Hispanic Excellence (CACHE). This is the Hispanic computer professionals group in the Chicago area.
1992 - In March 1992 founded the organization of Hispanic Corporate organizations in Chicago (UNited Hispanic Organizations, (UNHO) pronounced UNO) initially with Illinois Bell, AT&T, Amoco Hispanic Network and Commonwealth Edison. This organization subsequently dissolved with the mass downsizings of the early ‘90s and became a loose network of the following Hispanic Corporate organizations in the Chicagoland area: Ameritech, Amoco, AT&T, Commonwealth Edison, Peoples Gas, Allstate, Sears, Kraft Foods, United Airlines, Motorola, Xerox, McDonalds, Cook County Hospital, Nutrasweet, Household Finance, Quaker Oats, and Avon.
1991-1993 - On the Board of Governors of Northeastern University's SCUP (School, College, & University Partnership Grant Program) "Bridges to the Future" program. Chairman of the SCUP Mentor committee, I recruited approximately a dozen mentors for "Bridges to the Future" for Juarez, Lakeview, and Wells High Schools.
1991-1993 - Elected to Hispanic Business Members of Ameritech Board of Directors for 2-year term.
1990-1991 - In 1990 established "Bridging the Gap: The Transition from School to Work", mentor program. This program component was a one-to-one mentor program for 43 Hispanic "high drop-out risk" students at an inner city; Juarez High School. These students were paired with an Illinois Bell Telephone HBMA Hispanic Manager for career and educational guidance and as successful role models.
1991 - Established Mentor program with National Louis University.

1985-1990 - Participated as a speaker on "Computers as a Career" for the Chicago Boy Scouts ISECA (In School Exploring Career Awareness) program. Made eleven school site visits to; Clemente High School, Juarez High School, Lakeview High School, Schurz High School, Calvin Park High School, Hubbard High School, Orr High School, Lovellton Academy (twice), Lakeview Learning Center, and St. Constance Elementary School.
